OverviewTECNUN, the Engineering School of the University of Navarra, seeks to fill a tenured professor position in Data Analytics & Machine Learning applied to industrial management. The start date is January 2026. The position contributes to the University’s core tasks of research, education, and management.ResponsibilitiesConduct academic research (approximately 50% of workload).Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in data analytics, statistics, and machine learning (approximately 40% of workload).Provide services and management duties (approximately 10% of workload) and contribute to the proper functioning of the department.Publish high-quality papers in reputable, indexed journals and actively pursue research funding through proposal development.Provide leadership and maintain academic rigor in the development of research projects.Teach in Spanish and English to both national and international students.Join one of the three existing research groups within the department.QualificationsDoctoral-level research degree with a distinguished academic record and internationally excellent research contributions.Ability to teach in Spanish and English to a diverse student body.Ability to teach annually 16 ECTS and assist with program development.Interest in and alignment with the identity and mission of the University of Navarra.Demonstrated capacity to publish in highly indexed journals and to secure research funding; ability to lead and develop research projects.Expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and advanced statistics; strong knowledge of Python and R.Applicants Should Submit a DossierA cover letter describing research, teaching, engineering experience, and administrative work.A Curriculum Vitae.The names of two referees.Timeline and TermsTo ensure full consideration, please submit your application dossier by 31 October 2025.Initial interviews will be conducted via Google Meet.Contractual and financial terms will be discussed after the interview and will be determined based on qualifications and experience.The position is expected to commence in January 2026, with teaching duties beginning at that time; candidates available earlier may be viewed favorably.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducation and TrainingWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
