HP is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to drive engineering excellence and lead the adoption of AI-Driven Software Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) practices across the organization.

In this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, partnering with engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders to design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions while transforming how software is developed through AI-native engineering practices. You will be instrumental in redefining software delivery by integrating AI into every phase of the SDLC, including requirements definition, architecture, development, testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership position with no direct reports, focused on influencing outcomes, accelerating developer productivity, improving software quality, and enabling teams to adopt modern AI-assisted engineering practices at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the adoption and evolution of AI-Driven Software Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) practices across SW engineering teams.
• Define engineering strategies that leverage AI to improve developer productivity, code quality, system reliability, and delivery speed.
• Design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions across backend and frontend
• Drive the integration of AI-assisted development tools into daily engineering workflows, including code generation, testing automation, documentation, code review, and operational support.
• Establish and promote modern engineering best practices, including architecture, modular design, automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and platform engineering.
• Partner with engineering leadership to modernize development processes and operating models for AI-native software delivery.

• Define and promote engineering best practices (architecture, modularity, testing, CI/CD)
• Contribute hands-on to development when needed (Python, React, APIs)
• Support the adoption of AI-assisted development practices and tools
• Mentor and coach engineers on modern software engineering practices, AI-assisted development techniques, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with product, business, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldSignificant experience as a software engineer with a strong hands-on coding backgroundProven experience working in Agile development environments

Knowledge and SkillsRequired

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and system design
• Experience applying testing and automation practices

Highly valued

• Hands-on experience using AI / GenAI tools in a corporate environment
• Experience applying AI to improve development workflows
• Ability to define clear technical specifications for complex solutions
