We're growing fast in product and customers, and we need a DevOps Team Lead who loves automation and next-gen infrastructure to help us scale.
Responsibilities Lead and mentor a global team of DevOps engineersPartner with developers, CloudOps and automation engineers to improve efficiency, scale, reliability and observability across Deel's architectureContinuously improve CI/CD, IaC and monitoringOwn multiple AWS environments across accounts, including governance, security (IAM, secrets, compliance) and cost optimizationOwn reliability: on-call, incident response, post-mortems, SLOs, disaster recovery and capacity planningBuild self-service tooling and golden paths so engineers can work independently, within shared standardsIdentify bottlenecks and automation opportunities, then implement the fixesSet priorities and report to engineering leadershipRequirements 2+ years managing DevOps/SRE/Platform teams, and 5+ years as a DevOps engineerDeep knowledge of AWS
- multi-account setups, Managed services ( CloudFront / RDS / Elasticache ) including AWS networking skills (VPC, DNS, load balancing, service mesh).
Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise (EKS): Cluster design, upgrades and multi-cluster operations, including Service mesh, Crossplane, and Cluster Autoscalers,ingress controllers, network policies, RBAC, and workload security and resource tuning.
IaC experience (Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi/Crossplane)CI/CD and GitOps experience (GitHub Actions/Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux, Helm)Python, Node.
Js or Bash scriptingDatabase and messaging experience (PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)Observability experience (Prometheus Stack, Coralogix/DataDog OpenTelemetry).
Security and compliance experience (SOC 2/ISO)Production experience with uptime, DR and incident troubleshootingClear communication and a strong sense of ownershipNice to have: Go, multi-cloud, FinOps, experience scaling teams across time zonesTotal Rewards Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
