Technical Facilities Manager

Role Purpose JLL Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) is seeking a customer‑focused Regional Facilities Manager to be embedded on a high‑profile client account in Madrid. The manager will assure daily site facility management of the allocated offices, manage the local budget within the defined financial framework, and achieve aligned savings targets. What this job involves Operate IFM Account Operations Management in Madrid, partnering closely with the EMEA Account Director. Drive client satisfaction by establishing and managing the service delivery team and delivering key regional initiatives while ensuring consistency in processes, systems, and reporting across EMEA. Develop and implement the Best Practice/Building Operation Plan for the assigned portfolio. Prepare budget documentation/plans with the Financial Manager and administer works to ensure budget compliance. Inspect facilities and equipment, assess service needs, recommend and coordinate improvement projects that add value to office buildings. Arrange maintenance, upkeep and reconditioning per operating procedures, management plan and lease agreements. Bid competitively and prepare service contracts with the Procurement Specialist, analyze bids, submit recommendations, and finalize standard contract agreements. Act as the primary contact for service requests from client staff. Meet proactively with client local management, communicate regularly, and provide status updates. Approve purchases of supplies and equipment for managed office buildings. Ensure all services meet operating procedures, statutory requirements and health‑and‑safety guidelines. Review and refine services to enhance FM performance across the portfolio. Build close working relationships with all vendors under your control to cultivate a high‑quality service culture. Perform any additional duties commensurate to the level of the role. Sounds like you – required skills Track record in facilities management. Strong leadership with experience motivating and developing diverse teams. Technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems. Experience delivering technical training and competency development for engineering and maintenance teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of guiding multifunctional teams. Strong budget management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications preferred. Very good English and local language skills. Excellent organizational skills. Client‑ and Relationship Management Good management skills to interact on all levels with the client organization, internal JLL team, and partner companies.
