In this role you will help shape the software platform at Verisure’s Madrid Technology Hub. You will lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality front and back-end solutions, APIs, and architectural work for monitoring and security products. You’ll work across product, security, and IT to define viable solutions and ensure secure, scalable software in a DevOps-driven environment. This is an opportunity to influence large-scale security systems and collaborate with an international, fast-paced team. You’ll contribute to innovative home safety technology with real-world impact.

- Lead software engineers to achieve team goals and maintain high-quality codebase
- Own platform development and act as a platform owner for architecture decisions
- Collaborate on defining viable IT solutions within the Verisure ecosystem
- Evaluate architecture for products, SaaS, or cloud solutions (Monitoring Station projects)
- Assist teams in defining non-functional requirements
- Ensure compliance with integration, architecture, testing, and IT guidelines
- Adhere to security guidelines, regulations, and company policies
- Master in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent English (B2)
- +3 years IT experience
- Java backend development in distributed environments
- Relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, Mongo, etc.)
- DevOps lifecycle participation
- Container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Messaging: JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka
- Cache: Redis, Coherence
- Microservices architecture and migration from monolith
- End-to-end software solution understanding
- KPI measurement, performance bottleneck handling
- Public/private cloud architecture
- Agile methodologies
- Software design knowledge: patterns and Sonar rules
- Collaborative mindset
- Strong communication
- Results-oriented
- Java backend in distributed environments
