EM&E Group is a leading Spanish defense and security corporation specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex and innovative solutions. We are currently undergoing significant international expansion and are seeking top-tier engineering talent to join our team.

We are looking for an expert Survivability & Armor Engineer to drive our latest defense project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vulnerability & Threat Analysis: Conduct comprehensive structural and system vulnerability assessments against ballistic impacts, advanced weapons systems, electronic warfare (EW), and cyber threats.
  • Protection Systems Design: Design and develop advanced armor systems, lightweight armoring solutions, signature management (stealth/low-observability), and countermeasure technologies.
  • Materials Research: Evaluate and implement advanced materials and composites to optimize the structural integrity, ballistic performance, and weight efficiency of subsystems.
  • Systems Integration: Embed survivability features into next-generation platforms and modify legacy systems to enhance battlefield survivability.
  • Project Management: Collaborate on complex defense acquisition and development programs, ensuring strict compliance with military standards (MIL-STD/STANAG) and operational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in armor design and survivability for military or law enforcement vehicles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced hydrocode and finite element analysis (FEA) simulation tools utilized in lethality, terminal ballistics, and blast protection (e.g., Ansys Autodyn, LS-DYNA).
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under tight deadlines.
  • Languages: Spanish and full professional proficiency in technical English.
