About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes. The hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate. Currently undergoing restoration and renovation, this stunning historic property is scheduled to open its doors as a Four Seasons resort in June 2024.
The Role of Pastry Cook
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is looking for a Pastry Cook to join our team. The Pastry Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, preparing dessert orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including food processor, mixer, and oven.
Maintain a clean and efficient station.
Manage and prioritize tasks by shift.
Assist the pastry cook, pastry sous chef and pastry chef in any task required.
Our Ideal Pastry Cook will have:
Our ideal candidate has excellent teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are required. A minimum of two years of culinary experience, basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations, and proficient knife skills are also required. The position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is preferred, and Spanish is required.
Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in Spanish.
