It’s still day 1, come build the future of shopping with usOur International Expansion teamAs the driving force that will make Joko a globally successful company, the International Expansion team embodies boundless ambition. The team is responsible for designing the strategy that will take Joko to multiple countries and for coordinating all teams so we deliver fast and efficiently.
The International Expansion team reports to Xavier, our CEO. It is made of a central team and local country teams. The central team is composed of the Head of International Expansion and an International Expansion Manager. Together, they build the playbooks, foundations, and operating model that enable Joko to launch and scale successfully across markets. Local country teams are led by a Country Launcher and bring deep local expertise across the key functions needed to launch and grow Joko in-market.
Our mission is to turn Joko into a globally used product. After the US, we are preparing the next chapter of our expansion with Spain as our next country launch.
What you will doAs Marketing Manager, Spain, you will be Joko’s first Marketing hire in the market. Reporting directly to the Country Launcher, Spain, your mission is to make Joko’s brand, campaigns, and content connect with Spanish consumers. You will own local marketing execution end to end, drawing on our marketing playbooks, assets, and central specialists while deciding how they come to life in Spain.
Your missions will notably include:Localize Joko’s marketing for Spain: Adapt centrally developed campaigns, messaging, creative assets, and workflows to Spanish culture, shopping habits, language, and market dynamics.
Plan and execute Spain-specific campaigns: Build the local calendar around the retail, cultural, and seasonal moments that matter in Spain, then partner with central specialists to deliver campaigns across channels from brief to launch.
Own the Spanish user lifecycle: Adapt Joko’s CRM journeys and lifecycle automations to the local market, moving users from acquisition to activation, engagement, and long-term retention.
Turn Spanish consumer insight into action: Build a sharp understanding of local users, competitors, media, and shopping behavior, and use it to guide Joko’s product and marketing decisions. Partner closely with the User Acquisition team to turn those insights into locally relevant creatives that help acquisition scale.
Build local marketing foundations: Establish lightweight processes for collaboration across the Spain team, central specialists, and local agencies or partners, enabling consistent execution as the market scales.
Measure and optimize with data: Track campaign and lifecycle performance, run A/B tests, and turn the results into clear recommendations and sharper execution.
Who we're looking forExperience and

education:
You hold a degree in business, marketing, communications, or have an equivalent track record, and you have at least 5 years of experience in consumer marketing, ideally in tech, e-commerce, or retail, taking campaigns from idea to launch. You know the Spanish consumer market and how consumer brands grow in it.
Location and languages: You are based in Barcelona or Madrid. You have native‑level proficiency in Spanish and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Broad marketing skills and creative judgment: You can work across online and offline campaigns, content, social media and CRM, and know how to adapt global brands and campaigns to a local market. You are not expected to be a specialist in every channel, but you have strong marketing judgment, bring ideas of your own, and understand how to address Spanish consumers.
Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset: You enjoy building from a blank page, being hands‑on, and running several workstreams at once. You communicate clearly, build trust across local and central teams, and create pragmatic processes that help everyone move faster.
Analytical rigor and attention to detail: You break down ambiguous problems, use data to make decisions, and move fast without losing rigor. You maintain a consistently high quality bar across every user‑facing touchpoint.
AI fluency: You use AI tools to accelerate research, localization, content production, a
