PurposeThis role transforms requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
Key MissionsUses programming, scripting and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and that optimizes software performancesIdentifies existing software components, libraries and frameworks to reuse in the solutionsApplies knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsContributes to requirement (functional and non-functional) analysis and estimationsSupports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancementsBuilds up software structure including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing code comments, layouts, diagrams and chartsContributes to Software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.)Codes large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline and costPerforms design and code reviews and assess software performance optimizationContributes and promotes the organization's technical governancePerforms complex troubleshootingCoaches and can manage a small team of Software Development EngineersProfile & Other InformationRequiredMaster’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 4-5years of experience in software development for commercial software products. For a senior profile, broader experience in complex enterprise systems would be considered a strong advantage.
Strong backend development experience with Java EE 17 or higher .
Good knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot .
Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend services in production environments.
Good understanding of software engineering best practicesPractical experience with AI-assisted software development tools, or strong motivation to actively adopt them in daily engineering work.
Ability to introduce and promoteAI-supported developmentpractices within the teamAbility to evaluate where AI can bring measurable productivity improvements in the software development lifecycle.
Capacity to act as an AI champion within the engineering team by helping other developers use AI tools effectively, responsibly, and securely.
Ability to contribute to the design of a modern development process integrating AI tools into analysis, implementation, testing, documentation, and support activities.
