Airlines have spent decades selling one trip at a time. At Caravelo, we help them build recurring relationships with their customers instead.
We build the technology behind airline subscription products used by carriers around the world, combining SaaS, payments, booking systems and airline integrations in one platform.
Our Product & Platform teams build the common technology. Our Professional Services team makes it work in the real world for each airline.
Bringing an airline live takes more than software. Someone needs to understand what the customer wants, turn that into a deliverable solution and keep multiple teams moving toward the same launch.
That is where this role comes in.
As a Technical Project Manager in our Professional Services team, you will own the customer journey from signed contract to successful go-live.
Your primary promise is simple: launch on time and launch smoothly.
You will work with customers to understand their business needs, workflows, constraints and technical landscape, then translate those into a clear implementation that makes the best use of Caravelo's platform.
You will not define the technical architecture alone. Instead, you will facilitate the solution together with our Customer Solutions Engineers, Product & Platform teams and the customer.
Over time, you will develop a strong understanding of our product and of recurring airline technology patterns — from payments and reservation systems to identity, data and customer communications — allowing you to guide customers toward solutions that have worked elsewhere and challenge requirements when there is a better approach.
Throughout the project, you own the timeline, the customer relationship and the visibility of risks and dependencies.
If something threatens the launch date, you should know early, make it visible and drive the plan to address it.
Own the journey to go-liveYou will be accountable for taking a customer from contract signature to a successful production launch.
Build and maintain a realistic implementation plan.
Coordinate Caravelo teams, customer teams and third-party vendors around the same milestones.
Manage dependencies, decisions, risks and changes throughout the project.
Keep the customer informed about progress and make deviations visible early.
Drive testing, launch readiness and production stabilisation.
Your role is not simply to report whether a project is on track. It is to create the conditions that keep it on track.
Understand the customer and shape the solutionNo two airline implementations are exactly the same.
You will lead the discovery process from a business and delivery perspective: understanding how the customer operates, what they want to achieve and how those requirements map to Caravelo's capabilities.
Translate customer needs into clear requirements and implementation decisions.
Articulate what the Caravelo platform can already do.
Guide customers toward proven approaches based on previous implementations.
Identify where configuration is enough and where an integration, extension or additional development may be needed.
Keep the agreed solution, scope and important decisions clearly documented.
As your experience grows, you will become a subject‑matter expert in parts of the airline technology landscape, such as payments, reservation systems or other critical integrations.
Keep complexity under controlEnterprise implementations rarely fail because nobody created a project plan.
They become difficult when requirements appear late, dependencies are unclear, decisions remain unresolved or different teams believe different things are in scope.
A major part of your job is preventing that.
You will continuously ask: What are we missing? What could delay us? Who owns this? When do we need the answer? You should be comfortable challenging both Caravelo teams and the customer when something threatens the implementation.
Stay involved beyond launchA go-live is an important milestone, but it is not the end of the customer relationship.
You will remain involved in regular customer conversations and lead smaller, clearly scoped projects as their implementation evolves.
Launching a promotional campaign with temporary pricing changes.
Migrating an existing subscriber base to a new price.
Introducing a new payment provider.
Connecting a new data layer.
Coordinating an integration migration.
Investigating a recurring customer issue.
We treat these in the same way as larger implementations: a clear objective, owner, scope, start date and end date.
Use AI to remove unnecessary frictionWe actively use AI tools across Caravelo, including in Professional Services.
For a Project Manager, that might mean using AI to:Turn workshops and conversations into structured requirements.
Analyse project information and dependencies.
Draft documentation and customer communications.
Explore an unfamiliar API or system.
Investigate a problem before involving an engineer.
Modify a small configuration or frontend element, or write a simple script for a one‑off mig
