Our people are at the heart of our success.About The Role And Our TeamTKWW is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join our team of data professionals supporting our Marketplace. The Lead Data Scientist will play a critical role in shaping data strategy, guiding experimentation, and driving impact through advanced analytics. They will partner with cross‑functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders—to design experiments, develop analytical tools, and ensure we are making data‑driven decisions that deliver measurable results. As a trusted advisor and mentor, this person will both lead analyses directly and elevate the work of the broader team.ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, and interpret data to deliver business impact and help the organization make informed decisionsApply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, causal inference) to uncover insights and guide strategyForecast and simulate hypotheticals to provide early potential signals before large initiatives startDesign and analyze A/B and multivariate testing experiments; guide experimentation best practices across teamsDesign, build, and maintain reusable, scalable data products and self‑serve capabilities used by multiple internal teamsTranslate analyses into clear, actionable recommendations, linking insights to business outcomes such as ROI, conversion, retention, and revenueMaintain a deep understanding of the product, relevant data assets, and the outcomes of past experiments and analysesIdentify opportunities for new data products and integrations, prioritize a backlog of data assets and use cases, and collaborate with business partners to implement themPartner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure strong internal customer focus and alignmentPartner with engineers to ensure appropriate and scalable tracking is in placeSuccessful Lead Data Scientist Candidates HaveExcellent communication skills; able to translate technical concepts to non‑technical audiencesStrong business acumen and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions and decision frameworksDemonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment through data‑driven insights and recommendationsAdvanced knowledge of statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, causal inference, and forecastingHands‑on experience with experiment design, analysis, and rollout of A/B and multivariate testsAdvanced SQL skills and ability to write efficient, production‑ready queriesStrong Python skills for data manipulation, visualization, and advanced analysisKnowledge of data modeling and experience partnering with engineers on data infrastructureExperience prioritizing and managing analytical work, data assets, or product backlogs in a cross‑functional environmentMaster’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field preferred5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, with some prior leadership, mentorship, or project ownership experienceFluent in English & SpanishBenefitsPrivate health insuranceLife insuranceEmployee assistance program: on‑demand mental health assistance program for any professional or personal matterOptional salary advancesTax relief options: pre‑tax savings for food, transport, daycare and work‑related training expensesGym membership discountUdemy coursesPersonal time off: 23 working days of holidays per year + additional days each year considering the application of the max. annual working hours of the Collective Bargaining AgreementOther leave entitlements: enhancements to statutory leave permissions, for instance: maternity, paternity, childcare, illness and others to support work‑life balanceWork from home allowance (40€/month)Food allowance (55€/month)Employee giftingSignature eventsEmployee resource groupsDEI & Sustainability councilsRobust communication and feedback channelsFocused FridaysRecognition initiativesLocal eventsGROW programTKWW University for Employee & Leader developmentEmployee referral programWork ModelThis role is ‑eligible and based near one of our office hubs.
