**ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM**:
TKWW is looking for a **Lead Data Scientist** to join our team of data professionals supporting our Marketplace. The Lead Data Scientist will play a critical role in shaping data strategy, guiding experimentation, and driving impact through advanced analytics. They will partner with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders—to design experiments, develop analytical tools, and ensure we are making data-driven decisions that deliver measurable results. As a trusted advisor and mentor, this person will both lead analyses directly and elevate the work of the broader team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Gather, analyze, and interpret data to deliver business impact and help the organization make informed decisions
- Forecast and simulate hypotheticals to provide early potential signals before large initiatives start
- Design and analyze A/B and multivariate testing experiments; guide experimentation best practices across teams
- Maintain a deep understanding of the product, relevant data assets, and the outcomes of past experiments and analyses
- Identify opportunities for new data products and integrations and collaborate with business partners to implement them
- Partner with engineers to ensure appropriate and scalable tracking is in place
- Communicate, collaborate, and present results and recommendations to stakeholders at multiple levels of the business
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other data scientists and analysts

**SUCCESSFUL LEAD DATA SCIENTIST CANDIDATES HAVE**:

- Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Advanced knowledge of statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, causal inference, and forecasting
- Hands-on experience with experiment design, analysis, and rollout of A/B and multivariate tests
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to write efficient, production-ready queries
- Strong Python skills for data manipulation, visualization, and advanced analysis
- Knowledge of data modeling and experience partnering with engineers on data infrastructure
- Experience influencing stakeholders and driving alignment through data-driven insights
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, with some prior leadership, mentorship, or project ownership experience
- Fluent in English & Spanish
