The multi-site HR Manager is the HR leader responsible for our 2 Paper Bags plants in Spain (Abrera, close to Barcelona, and Aranguren, close to Bilbao), ~200 employees. The role leads a small team to help drive a positive and productive culture, build an environment of trust and accountability and deliver HR excellence and process improvement. This role is the primary point of contact for the managers and employees and provides expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and performance and talent management, talent development and learning, compensation, conflict management, employee relations and leadership coaching. The multi-site HR Manager executes the HR strategy in support of the client’s business objectives and the Mondi HR strategy and objectives and is a connected partner for the sites leadership teams. HR Manager Spain As part of the Country Exco (Executive Committee), to serve as a strong functional partner to the Country Exco team and to drive cohesive decision-making, foster collaboration, and drive the development and execution of key HR initiatives that align with business goals and Mondi HR strategy Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; Partner closely with Country Exco, HR Business Partners, Regional HR Leaders and HR CoE professionals to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda and execute business-specific HR strategies Lead key HR processes including performance, talent management, payroll and compensation planning, onboarding, hiring, training & development new manager assimilation etc. Partner with Regional HR leader and HR CoE’s to align on and execute relevant HR projects or initiatives as needed across multiple client groups at the two sites. Ensure all HR matters are handled fairly and consistently with local laws and regulations and our company compliance regulations Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment and care. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources related area. ~10 years of professional work experience in a client support HR role in an industry environment. ~ Sound knowledge of union/employee relations and works council management as well as local labor laws and government requirements. ~ Strong problem-solving skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion. ~ Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills. ~ Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement ~ Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
