POSITION: Lower School Early Childhood Teacher (K1-K2/ K3: 3 and 4-year olds)STARTING DATE: August 2026PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as the lead teacher in Kinder 1-2 for three and four-year old childrenLead the classroom community including directing and supervising a Teaching and Learning AssistantCollaborate with the Early Childhood team to create and maintain a positive environment that promotes a child-centered, pre-academic, social and emotionally rich experiential learning opportunity for 3-6-year old learnersTo establish a caring relationship with students, families and other stakeholdersTo perform duties and other responsibilities as assigned by the Lower School DirectorREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Teacher Certification + minimum 5 years full-time teaching experience in early childhood, preferably in an international / American school settingAbility and experience in:Project-based or Conceptual planningAssessing learners with the Creative Curriculum Gold Standards assessments to inform instruction and integrating Gold Standards data into curriculum and lesson designDeveloping classroom communities and environments which are Regio Emilia inspiredImplementing project-based units, (can be from sources such as Creative Curriculum)Using technology as an instructional toolWorking collaboratively and professionally with colleagues across the Early Childhood Center to create a dynamic learning environmentMaintaining flexible, positive and professional relationships with all stakeholdersSupporting ELL and students with diverse learning needsUsing student data to inform instructional practicesA desire to have fun, build community, and support childhood at ASMADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Working hours: 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.Vacation and time off: same as school holidaysWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package as determined by the Board#J-18808-Ljbffr
