POSITION: Lower School Learning Support Teaching and Learning Assistant 

STARTING DATE: August 2026

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Learning Support team to deliver and prepare high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning intervention for students
  • Ability to work with small groups or individual students as directed by the Learning Support Team 
  • To support students with behavioral or transitional difficulties throughout the school day as directed by the Learning Support Team 
  • Collaborate with the Coordination of Support (COST) team and with other Lower School educators to ensure students are supported in their learning and social-emotional growth at ASM
  • To establish a caring relationship with students, families and other stakeholders
  • To perform duties and other responsibilities as assigned by the Lower School Director
  • To contribute to our after school program by sponsoring an after school activity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in education or a related field
  • Two or more years of experience working with children in an educational setting year olds)
  • Experience working on adult teams
  • Highly flexible as daily schedules will change and work will be demanding
  • Ability to work with students learning English, students needing academic support and children with behavior issues
  • Willingness to learn and use ASM curriculum programs 
  • Willingness to work closely with colleagues to create a dynamic learning environment
  • Willingness to be a learner
  • A desire to have fun, build community, and support childhood at ASM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Working hours: 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
