The Objectives of Procurement are to ensure stable financial performance and ongoing supply continuity across diverse supply chains. Procurement plays a key role within Symrise, interacting with all parts of the business to facilitate supplier-led innovation, cost savings, supply stability, and sustainability initiatives. This position is located in Parets del Vallés (industrial area). The objective for this role is : Define regional strategic sourcing strategies across specified flavor categories/sub-categories, aligned with tasks assigned to Global and Regional Procurement Managers/Buyers. Monitor the business impact and risks of regional sourcing strategies and engage with the business community as needed. Manage, supervise, and coach the Procurement / Inbound Planning team. Negotiate commercial and supply agreements for raw materials and identify regional/local supply agreements where appropriate. Coordinate volume forecasts, market analysis, and trend information following global best practices and category segmentation. Participate in the S&OP process and raise awareness of supply/demand issues within the organization. Approve new SKU registrations as needed. Source and approve new external/3rd-party sources and set up subsequent SAP PIR. Identify and implement initiatives to improve supply security and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) with external suppliers. Support the team in identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement, managing them through dedicated action plans. Develop relationships with key suppliers to manage performance, quality, productivity, and service levels. In addition to the team lead responsibilities, oversee strategic procurement negotiations and approximately 25% of inbound planning tasks. Minimum qualifications: Degree in Procurement/Purchasing, Food Science, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement. Strong leadership skills: development, coaching, and constructive challenge. Deep understanding of procurement processes, methods, and tools. Experience working in a matrix organization. Strategic thinking with a conceptual approach. Experience in project management and transformation initiatives. Excellent prioritization and structured working style. Proactive communication and good presentation skills. Intercultural sensitivity and appropriate interaction skills. Negotiation skills, even in complex environments. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint) and SAP. Fluent English; advanced Spanish; additional languages are a plus. Willingness to travel.
