We are looking for a motivated PhD student candidate to study novel strategies to overcome immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment, within the framework of a project financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PID OB-I00, PI: A. Valledor). The project aims to advance scientific knowledge in the context of osteosarcoma and of solid tumors in general by identifying novel targets and/or improving emerging strategies to modulate the tumor microenvironment, particularly its immune components. We offer a full-time one-year contract extendable to two more years. The successful candidate will enroll in the Doctoral Programme in Biomedicine of the University of Barcelona. Candidates must hold a degree that allows admission to the official doctoral programme at the University of Barcelona.

Additional merits
  • Experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, gene expression analysis and bioinformatics
  • Experience in macrophage biology research
Tasks of the position
