Director of People Operations & LabourFactorial is seeking a Director of People Operations & Labour to join our team and help us boost the company to the next level.THE ROLEThe Director of People Operations & Labour role combines deep labour law expertise, operational excellence, and strategic leadership in a fast‑growing, international tech environment. The Labour Relations Director will act as the primary point of reference for all labour, regulatory and complex employee matters, partnering closely with senior leadership to support sustainable growth.ResponsibilitiesLabour Strategy & Business AlignmentDefine and execute the global labour relations strategy aligned with business priorities in a fast‑growing international tech environment.Act as the company’s primary authority on Spanish labour law, ensuring full legal compliance and risk mitigation.Provide labour guidance and oversight across other jurisdictions, supporting international growth and local compliance.Assess labour risks related to organisational changes, restructurings and operational scale‑up.Governance, Compliance & Policy DevelopmentDevelop and maintain global labour policies, frameworks and procedures that ensure consistency, scalability and legal compliance.Review and oversee employment contracts, contractual addenda, disciplinary frameworks and labour‑related documentation.Lead internal and external labour audits, ensuring documentation accuracy, traceability and regulatory compliance.Implement monitoring and control mechanisms to ensure robust labour governance across all territories.Union & Employee Representative RelationsDefine and manage the company’s strategy for relationships with works councils, employee representatives and unions.Lead collective bargaining processes, consultations and formal information and negotiation procedures.Represent the company in labour‑related proceedings and formal interactions with social partners and authorities.Leadership of People OperationsLead, develop and scale a high‑performing People Operations team.Ensure compliant management of Social Security procedures, contract changes, terminations and regulatory filings.Oversee payroll governance and drive process automation to improve efficiency, scalability and accuracy, in close collaboration with Finance and external providers.Ensure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance and risk‑prevention standards across offices.YOUR PROFILE8–12+ years of experience in Labour Relations, Employment Law or Employee Relations, preferably in multinational or high‑growth tech/SaaS environments.Strong expertise in Spanish labour law and solid knowledge of international labour frameworks.Proven experience managing complex ER cases, labour disputes, reorganisations, negotiations, works councils and unions.Experience leading People Operations or HR operational teams, including Social Security processes, payroll governance and labour documentation.Ability to design and scale compliant, structured and efficient processes in fast‑growing organisations.Strong analytical, risk‑assessment and decision‑making skills with a business‑oriented mindset.Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills at senior level.Degree in Law, Labour Relations or related field; additional specialization is a plus.Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.BenefitsWe care about people and also offer a lot of benefits for employees:High growth, multicultural and friendly environmentContinuous training and learning based on your needsHealthy life with Wellhub (Gyms, pools, outdoor classes)Save expenses with CobeeLanguage classes with PreplyGet the most out of your salary with PayflowBreakfast in the office and organic fruitNora and Apetit discountsPet FriendlyABOUT USFactorial is an innovative Business Management Software solution designed to streamline company processes for small and medium‑sized enterprises.
