Your ImpactAs Chief of Staff to the VP Engineering and Co-Founder of Isovalent, you will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will serve as a force multiplier, ensuring that the Engineering and Community teams operate smoothly, budgets and vendors are under control, and key initiatives move forward with clarity and speed. You'll act as a trusted advisor and proxy for the VP in various matters, owning operational coordination, interfacing with stakeholders in other business units. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone with strong organizational acumen, executive maturity, and a strong drive for execution. Strategic & Operational Leadership Act as a strategic partner and sounding board for the VP Engineering in driving execution across engineering, community, and broader org-wide initiatives. Serve as the operational lead and decision-making proxy for budget management including alignment with Finance. Org Coordination & Hiring Operations Oversee hiring operations: job req approvals, headcount planning, and alignment with long-term engineering and community team strategies. Interface with Cisco HR and PR leads on organizational and personnel matters. Compliance & Entity Management Own Isovalent's organizational compliance workflows and serve as point of contact for Cisco's compliance stakeholders. Help manage legal entities with P&L footprint, including vendor and invoice approvals. Vendor & Tooling Management Own vendor relationships for tools, services, and contracting relationships Drive tool rationalization and cost control efforts in collaboration with engineering operations. Office & Workplace Strategy Act as Isovalent's Chief of Staff in Europe: lead office sourcing, interface with Cisco Workplace Services, and oversee logistics for physical workspaces. Internal Communications & Culture In close collaboration with Isovalent's culture team, support internal culture efforts by helping coordinate operational and financial aspects of offsites, team-building, and other initiatives. Own or delegate maintenance of organizational wide mailing lists, key meeting notes, and leadership comms. Minimum Qualifications 6+ years of experience in Chief of Staff, Program Management, Business Operations, or a similar role. Strong operational background with experience in budget oversight, hiring coordination, and organizational tooling. Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams: Finance, HR, Legal, and Workplace. Strong judgment, confidentiality, and ability to make decisions on behalf of executive leadership. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Preferred Qualifications Experience with software engineering, networking, security. Familiarity with Cisco org structures or similar organizations.
