Service Technician

Summary At our site located in Gijón, Asturias, we are looking for a Service Technician who will be responsible for the installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of power electronic equipment at the customer’s facilities. They must ensure the proper functioning of the equipment, guaranteeing system availability and operability. Requirements: Technician in Electronics, Electricity, Electromechanics. Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronic equipment maintenance. Knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems. Strong skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic and electrical failures. Proficiency in using measurement instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power network analyzers, etc.). Understanding of electrical regulations and industrial safety standards. Ability to interpret electrical and electronic diagrams. Availability to travel and work flexible hours according to service needs. Skills and Competencies: Analytical skills and technical problem-solving. Customer-oriented approach and strong communication skills. Teamwork and proactivity. Time management and organizational skills. Adaptability to new technologies and work methodologies. Spanish and English (B2). Main Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power electronic equipment such as Converters, rectifiers, pop up, hatch and PCA. Diagnose failures and troubleshoot technical issues on-site. Carry out the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Document technical service reports and communicate findings to the internal team and customers. Provide technical guidance to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations and best practices during each intervention. Keep inventory updated for necessary spare parts and tools for service operations. Coordinate with the engineering or technical support team to resolve complex issues. Participate in training sessions and updates on new technologies and procedures.
