Role:
As a Junior Buyer at Destinus, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement activities. You will work closely with the procurement team to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for our operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to grow their career in procurement within a leading aerospace company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Supplier Selection: Support the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Vendor Communication: Maintain effective communication with suppliers to track order status and resolve any issues.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Support Negotiations: Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MSD procurement software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English speaker.
