The role requires strong technical ownership, deep knowledge of IC layout fundamentals, and a proven track record of delivering production silicon.Key ResponsibilitiesLead block-level and top-level IC layout from floorplan definition to tape-outOwn layout technical decisions, ensuring quality, robustness, and manufacturabilityPlan, estimate, and track layout schedules, milestones, and progressCoordinate layout execution across blocks and contributors to ensure on-time deliveryEnsure compliance with layout verification requirements (DRC, LVS, ERC, DFM)Collaborate with design, verification, and foundry teams to resolve layout issuesReview and sign off layout deliverables; mentor junior engineers as neededRequired Qualifications7+ years of hands‑on IC layout experienceBachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldFluent in written and spoken EnglishProficiency with industry‑standard IC layout toolsProven ability to lead layout from floorplan to tape‑outDeep understanding of IC layout fundamentalsExperience with layout planning, effort estimation, and progress trackingMotivated, willing to learn new technologiesExcellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.Location: Barcelona, SpainA valid disability certificate will be considered a plus as part of our commitment to workplace inclusion and diversity.Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.
