Your responsibilities will span from assessing the current state of data sources to designing the target architecture and defining the principles for data modeling, integration, and governance. You will be tasked with translating complex manufacturing (OT) and business (IT) data requirements into a cohesive, scalable, and future-proof data model. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep hands‑on experience in IoT data modeling, Pharma 4.0 concepts, and modern data platforms like Databricks and Azure. Core Architectural Responsibilities: Current State Assessment: Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing data models, data sources, and integration points within the client's Pharma 4.0 environment to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and limitations. Target Architecture Design of UNS: Design and document the target Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture. This includes defining the hierarchical structure, data standards, and integration patterns for all manufacturing and operational data. Data Modeling & Scalability: Develop a detailed, scalable and adaptable data model within the UNS framework. Ensure the model is future‑proof and can accommodate new data sources, technologies, and analytical use cases. Technology & Platform Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert, providing expert recommendations on the best use of Databricks, Azure IoT Hub and other relevant technologies to implement and support the UNS. Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment: Work directly with business stakeholders, manufacturing (OT) teams and IT teams to gather requirements, define data standards and ensure the proposed architecture aligns with both operational needs and strategic business goals. Governance & Best Practices: Define and establish data governance principles and best practices for the UNS to ensure data quality, consistency and security. Roadmap Development: Create a strategic implementation roadmap for the rollout of the UNS, including phased milestones and integration plans. Technical and Professional Requirements: Core Skills (Must-Have): Data Modeling: Deep, proven expertise in designing and implementing complex data models for large-scale data platforms. Industry 4.0 / Pharma 4.0: Strong understanding of Pharma/Biotech manufacturing processes, OT/IT convergence, and the principles of Industry 4.0. IoT Architecture: Hands‑on experience with IoT data patterns and architectures, including direct experience with Azure IoT Hub or similar platforms. Modern Data Platforms: Strong proficiency with Databricks for data engineering and transformation. Stakeholder Interface & Communication: Proven ability to work directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, from plant‑floor engineers to senior IT and business leaders. Must be able to articulate complex architectural concepts and data model designs clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strategic Mindset: A consultative approach focused on understanding long-term business goals and designing solutions that are not just technically sound but also scalable, adaptable, and future‑proof. Fluency in English (B2+/C1 level) is required for technical documentation and stakeholder communication.
