(And no, this does not mean that being from Switzerland is a requirement ). About this position Your role as Director of Sales Engineering is a cornerstone of Tree-Nation’s next stage of growth. You’ll be the main sales leader in the company — owning revenue generation, leading outbound strategy, managing key client relationships, and building the infrastructure that enables scalable, tech-enabled growth. But this isn’t a classic sales leadership role. To succeed, you’ll need more than just commercial instincts — you’ll need engineering literacy and an AI-native mindset. Our product is deeply technical (API-driven, SaaS-integrated, automation-ready), and our future depends on building a hybrid sales engine where AI agents + humans work together to drive impact. This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants to lead sales and shape the company’s technical growth culture from the inside. What you’ll do Own technical revenue growth: Combine product understanding, outreach, and integration capabilities to unlock scalable channels. Lead and scale our outbound sales engine across Europe, the US, and Asia — targeting mid-market and enterprise clients. Build and manage a hybrid sales model: humans + AI agents working together across prospecting, qualification, and closing. Design and maintain the sales systems behind outreach, onboarding, and success: CRM (HubSpot), messaging automations, metrics, and reporting. Master and promote our API: Help clients connect through custom or no-code integrations. Understand blockers, guide implementations, and propose product improvements. Prototype and build integration workflows using tools like n8n, Zapier, or custom scripts. Drive client integration success: Solve our biggest bottleneck by ensuring smooth technical onboarding and frictionless adoption. Translate product into story: Work with product and engineering to turn features into simple, powerful narratives for clients. Lead strategic partnerships with SaaS platforms, ecommerce tools, and ecosystem partners to embed planting into user journeys. Coach and scale the sales org: Build systems and capabilities to support long-term scale. Bridge sales, product, and tech: Align internal teams around customer problems and technical solutions. Represent Tree-Nation in key deals and negotiations and report directly to the CEO as the owner of revenue. What you’ll bring Proven B2B SaaS sales leadership (zero to scale). Outbound sales mastery — systems, automation, funnel optimization. Fluent English communication, both written and spoken. CRM mastery — HubSpot or equivalent: automation, pipeline architecture, custom workflows, and reporting. Technical literacy — you understand APIs, SaaS integrations, and automation platforms like n8n or Zapier. You don’t need to code daily, but you speak the language and can lead technical conversations. AI-native mindset — you've built or actively used AI agents in sales workflows and see AI as a core part of the sales engine today, not tomorrow. Strongly Preferred Past experience in a technical role — software engineer, sales engineer, solutions architect, or technical consultant. Proven ability to bridge sales, product, and engineering — you’re a translator between commercial needs and technical solutions. Track record of solving integration challenges with clients using APIs, automation platforms, or product modifications. Nice-to-Haves Fluency in additional languages (Spanish, French, etc.). Academic background in a STEM field. Personal passion for climate, sustainability, or social impact.
