Tenure-track faculty at Pompeu Fabra Univ. (Barcelona) Sep 23, 2022 We invite applications for faculty appointments at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Statistics at the Department of Economics and Business to begin no later than September 2023. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or be near completion of their doctoral studies), and should have a demonstrated potential for research excellence in Statistics, Probability, Machine Learning, or related fields. Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, a research statement, 1-2 papers showcasing their most significant work, and three letters of recommendation. The Statistics and Probability group is part of the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, ranked among the top European economics schools. The group has expertise in research areas such as theoretical machine learning, graphical and network models, Bayesian inference, Malliavin calculus, high-dimensional inference, and Econometrics. Their research has been funded by agencies in Spain, the UK, and the USA, as well as companies like Google and Huawei. The group leads the Data Science Center ( and the Master’s Program in Data Science ( at the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE), which has received three consecutive Severo Ochoa awards for research excellence. The BSE offers additional funding and research opportunities. Knowledge of Catalan or Spanish is not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
