Operations Lead

This role is responsible for operationally leading and coordinating a group of Network Operators (Logistics Operators) to ensure the daily execution of transport from/to nurseries, growers, coolers, packaging suppliers, and end-customers, by achieving the highest standards and meeting agreed KPIs (Time-Window Performance, Vehicle Utilization, and Total Logistics Cost Management).

Also responsible for leading the testing of the complete solution before implementation, ensuring all LLP systems are aligned with the Business Requirements Document.

Main Accountabilities

  1. Responsible for daily multimodal transportation (mainly road transportation) capacity booking with carriers and full end-to-end responsibility of the Inbound and Outbound Network.
  2. Identify, recommend, and support change opportunities for network activities. Manage the team's output and ensure that this drives and complements the overall strategy and business objectives.
  3. Manage the implementation of a re-engineered network solution without affecting production and ensuring KPI benefits from the implemented solution.
  4. Ensure that operations are delivered according to associated ISO documentation, and identify and manage the implementation of process changes.
  5. Operational and disciplinary responsibility over the team of Network Operators, ensuring balanced and efficient workload distribution, being the key contact for issue resolution in both operational and human resources matters.
  6. Lead cost investigations / 8D requests related to the Route Management Process.

Requirements for the Job

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in road transport, warehousing, and logistics environment.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams and managing rotational shifts.
  3. Knowledge of road, air, and sea transport operations.
  4. Desirable experience within temperature-controlled standards and supply chain management.
  5. Experience in implementing new logistics solutions for new customers.
  6. Previous experience leading a team.
  7. Knowledge of sector customer trends and needs.
  8. Requires strong communication/interface skills.
  9. English language: fluent (verbal & written).
  10. Spanish language: fluent (verbal & written).
  11. Education: Logistics studies, Business Administration, or similar education.
