Their work underpins innovations across health, automotive, agritech, energy, and more.As part of their expansion, our client is establishing a specialized chip technology pilot line in Málaga, Spain. This new facility will complement the advanced 300mm CMOS process line at their headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, with developments in 300mm processes and new material integrations. The Málaga site will support R&D, prototyping, and future manufacturing of breakthrough technologies in healthcare, life sciences, photonics, AR / VR, and precision sensing.ROLEOur client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Facilities Engineer to play a key role in constructing and operating Spain’s first 300mm cleanroom facility. The role starts with a two-year assignment at their headquarters in Leuven (Belgium), followed by relocation to Málaga (Spain), where you will manage mechanical installations for the new facility, including a cleanroom (FAB) and supporting buildings such as warehouses and offices.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Phase Involvement : Collaborate with specialized engineers and project managers to review, challenge, and ensure the technical quality and operational feasibility of proposed designs and executed works.Maintenance Strategy & Planning : Lead an operational team in developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance strategy and planning.KPI Monitoring & Problem Solving : Define and monitor maintenance KPIs, analyze recurring issues, and propose effective solutions.REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree in industrial or engineering sciences.At least 5 years of relevant experience in a technical role.Broad knowledge of general building technology or specialized expertise in systems such as :Cooling and heating systemschillers, heat pumps, cooling towers)Ventilation systems (air handling units, fans, ductwork)High-purity water and wastewater treatment (reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, physico-chemical treatment)Initiative-taking and ownership mindset, with strong team integration.Open, clear communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.Strong skills in documenting and maintaining high-quality technical records.Willingness to relocate to Málaga after the initial training period in Belgium.Proficiency in Spanish and a good command of English are required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
