About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team in Spain. As a key member of our Field Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of exciting deployment projects, including new launches, automated solutions, and material handling equipment re-layouts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects related to the deployment of engineering solutions in delivery stations of the Spanish AMZL network.
  • Own projects including greenfield launches, material handling equipment re-layouts, retrofits of automated solutions, and other building improvements.
  • Lead the full project lifecycle from equipment ordering, layout validation, vendor coordination, and project plan finalization to installation works management, vendor commissioning, site acceptance test completion, and handover to internal customers.
  • Interact with different functions to provide trade-off solutions that satisfy potential conflicts and deliver as per guidelines.
  • Validate stakeholder designs and customer requirements and provide feedback in a timely manner to resolve technical deficiencies and maintain schedules.
  • Identify inefficiencies of processes or standards within the allocated country or at European level and proactively lead improvements with the relevant teams.
About the Team

The Spanish Field Engineering team is comprised of a talented and diverse group of project and program managers who drive coordination of all activities required to safely build complex solutions across the AMZL network. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Working experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Working experience as Project Manager of medium complex projects.
  • Proficiency in planning and analysis tools: Excel & Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools: AutoCAD.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders to deliver a project including external vendors.
  • Experience in the commissioning of automated machinery and entire systems.
  • Experience in working with analysis tools for KPI reporting (i.e. PowerBI or similar).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma analytical and process improvement techniques.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish language.
