**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team at Puig. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for providing materials needed for new product developments or improvement projects at best cost and conditions with a Total Cost of Ownership mindset.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work closely with the technical team to find solutions and suppliers able to produce the needed materials, at the best cost, fitting quality requirements and accomplishing the supply needs in time and in full.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and make purchasing proposals to the Purchasing Direction respecting the budget (target cost, tooling, and investment) and/or generating savings.
  • Elaborate and follow detailed retro-planning with suppliers and internal departments to fulfill the company requirements.
  • Review Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and order the materials as per negotiated prices and approved specifications.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of the plans, monitoring order deliveries, supplier's performance, and stock level of components.
  • In case there are defective or unacceptable goods, determine the cause of the problem with the supplier and take corrective and preventive actions.
  • Correctly transfer the provisioning responsibility to manufacturing fulfilling internal procedures and requirements.
  • Carry out supplier's prices comparisons, negotiations, and cost breakdowns.
  • Inform of all Purchasing related Data, directly in SAP or through other departments, such as: info record, source list, planning data, logistic data, green dot and customs.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Economics/Business or Engineering degree.
  • Fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to look for ways to improve processes and capabilities.
  • Specific knowledge required: SAP (MM module), advanced level of MS Excel, and proficiency in Powerpoint.
