Chief Architect of Commercial IT Solutions for Advanced Therapies

Position Overview
Novartis is seeking a skilled Commercial IT Domain Architect specializing in Advanced Therapies to become a vital part of our IT team.
The primary objective of this position is to establish the enterprise architecture for the Advanced Therapies sector, focusing on domain architecture standards and methodologies.
In this role, you will ensure that strategic IT investments align with architectural principles within the Commercial Domain and oversee the design of project solution architectures that effectively address specific business and technical challenges.
The Advanced Therapies Architect will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by taking responsibility for the overarching standards and direction of architecture within the Commercial sector. Collaboration with fellow Architects and support for various Commercial architecture initiatives will be key components of your responsibilities. You will also share insights and best practices with other enterprise architects in the IT department.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and articulate diverse architectural perspectives (Application, Information, etc.) for the envisioned future state architecture within the Functional Domain. Ensure compliance with Security and Compliance policies throughout the solution architecture process for the Commercial domain.
- Guide the domain's solution architects and conduct necessary solution architecture evaluations, adhering to the governance established by Enterprise Architecture. Ensure that essential solutions within the domain are documented in an Architecture Handbook, accessible in a centralized repository managed by Architecture Governance.
- Create roadmaps that outline the progression of the functional Domain's enterprise solution portfolios from their current state to a future state. Integrate digital and data technology trends into the design of solution architectures.
- Utilize architecture standards, patterns, reference architectures, and other frameworks to develop the most suitable solution architecture that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Assess solution architectures for their compliance and coherence with architectural standards throughout the solution lifecycle. Effectively communicate and clarify selected elements of the Commercial architecture to relevant partner groups.
