About the Role

Sun Chemical, a leading producer of packaging and graphic solutions, color and display technologies, functional products, electronic materials, and products for the automotive and healthcare industries, is seeking a highly skilled Customs and Trade Compliance Manager to join its EMEA team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and control Sun Chemical's Customs and Trade Compliance in the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements and country-specific regulations.
  • Lead operational teams in customs and trade compliance tasks, focusing on import and export processing, preference management, CTN Classification (HS/TARIC), and operational trade controls.
  • Develop and implement customs and foreign trade-specific processes to enhance compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency, including the creation of technical concepts and IT-supported process improvements.
  • Provide professional guidance on Customs and Trade Compliance issues in various projects and serve as a point of contact for internal and external business partners.
  • Identify training needs and organize relevant education and training in EU and HMRC Customs and Trade Compliance.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent, with relevant experience considered.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU tax laws applicable to import and export of goods.
  • Understanding of multi-modal transport and logistics.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and take ownership of work.
