About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at TUI. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software applications that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

About the Job

  • You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain software applications that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • With a strong background in JavaScript, you will be responsible for implementing resource-oriented APIs, developing cloud-native applications, and ensuring the highest level of automation and clean architectures.
  • You will also be responsible for guiding teams to use the right tools for the right job, solving complex problems, and taking ownership of software products from conception to operation.
  • As a customer-centric professional, you will be passionate about delivering great digital products and services that meet the needs of our customers.
  • You will work in a cloud environment, especially AWS, and develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications.
  • You will have deep understanding of the AWS toolbox, leveraging AWS services and cloud design patterns in a micro-service and micro-frontend landscape.
  • You will also be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software applications, and contributing to increasing automation.
  • You will verbalise your thoughts and ideas, take the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes, and work closely with our Practice teams and Group Enabler teams to research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools.
  • You will be well-connected across the domain, within the broader TUI community, and relevant Communities of Practice.

About You

  • You will have strong expertise in the JavaScript language, as well as its eco-system and tooling.
  • You will have experience with at least two recent JavaScript frameworks.
  • You will have deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and a general understanding of UI design.
  • You will have excellent knowledge of applying web delivery design principles for websites and web applications for a positive user experience.
  • You will have deep understanding of front-end performance aspects, analysis, and optimisation.
  • You will have deep experience with implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL) on client and server side.
  • You will have excellent proficiency in NodeJS, Go, or Java and their respective eco-systems.
  • You will have experience with data persistence (SQL/noSQL).
  • You will have deep expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools, and services on AWS.
  • You will have good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI.
  • You will be able to design, build, test, and deploy applications.
  • You will be customer-centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services.
  • You will demonstrate true software craftsmanship mindset.
  • You will be passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and great teams.
  • You will have compelling coaching and training skills for imparting professional software engineering skills.
