About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PreSales Engineer to join our team at Telefónica Tech. As a key member of our Digital Services team, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities and providing technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver technical solutions to meet customer needs
  • Provide commercial and technical support to our sales team throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Manage Digital Services opportunities from initial contact to closure
  • Design and build business cases for technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners to enhance our standard offering and value proposition
  • Understand and detect customer needs and requirements, providing expert advice on IT solutions
  • Manage client demands and expectations from a technical perspective
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support commercial processes and participate in technical solution definition
  • Gather technical knowledge from a sales perspective and share with the commercial support team
  • Engage with Global areas to ensure client demands are met
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to prepare product training sessions
  • Stay up-to-date with Digital technologies and industry trends
  • Deliver against defined sales targets, milestones, and KPIs
Requirements
  • Typically requires at least a BS/CS degree
  • MBA or MSc and relevant industry certifications desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of strong experience as a Sales Engineer/Sales Consultant in the Digital industry
  • Desirable to have worked with large accounts
  • Experience in testing new products and analyzing market fit
  • Working in a professional corporate environment with good knowledge of the Digital market
  • Deep knowledge of the Digital industry, value chain, market, players, and ecosystems
  • Strong knowledge of the Digital industry, value chain, market, players, and ecosystems
  • Professional and confident manner, possessing both technical and communication skills
  • Influencing and negotiating skills with the sales force
  • Enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills and passion for customer service
  • Ability to balance business and commercial risks with customer requirements
  • Innovative and creative throughout the sales process
  • Critical thinker with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent written skills with a good understanding of effective bid writing
  • Languages: Fluent English (mandatory), German and Spanish (desirable)
