About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Developer to join our team at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will take on responsibilities investigating and resolving operational processes daily, contributing to the project National IMPaCT-Data.

Leveraging your skills and problem-solving abilities, you will meticulously investigate issues to identify their root causes.

Once pinpointed, you will apply your expertise to implement effective solutions, ensuring the seamless functioning of the EGA services and databases.

Through your proactiveness, you will not only address immediate challenges but also contribute to the continuous improvement and streamlining of our operational processes, driving our organisation and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve operational processes daily
  • Contribute to the project National IMPaCT-Data
  • Implement effective solutions to ensure seamless functioning of EGA services and databases
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and streamlining of operational processes

Requirements

  • Expertise in advanced PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Knowledge of AWS, specifically for S3, EC2, SES
  • Familiarity with messaging software, specifically RabbitMQ
  • Knowledge of Jenkins for automating software development processes
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines
  • Advanced Linux systems administration
  • Knowledge of Docker and related tooling
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Big Data database technologies
