About the Role
We're seeking a Strategic Product Director to lead our smart alarm system offerings across markets. This strategic position owns our consumer-facing hardware and software product, driving growth and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Owning the smart alarm system offering, including deciding on hardware components, vendors, and key strategies like buy vs build in-house.
- Making our mobile app world-class by enabling advanced automations and top-notch customer care, including through LLM-powered chatbots.
- Developing and executing a product strategy driven by qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Leading and mentoring a team of 3 designers and 3 product managers/owners.
- Collaborating with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align product strategy with business goals.
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Driving the adoption of modern product discovery techniques to translate business requirements and customer feedback into a product roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
- 8+ years of experience in UX design and product management, with a focus on consumer-facing products.
- A proven track record of successfully leading and managing UX and product teams.
- Experience with implementing product discovery frameworks.
- Knowledge of IoT components, component assessment/testing, and writing vendor RFPs.
