Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Powerplant Specialist to join our team at Sin nombre. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of our aircraft engines and powerplants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Control and Management: Provide detailed reviews of service bulletins and airworthiness directives related to engines and auxiliary power units (APUs).
  • Implementation and Coordination: Manage the implementation of modification programs for engines, APUs, and accessory parts.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to the maintenance operations center (MOC) and heavy maintenance representatives.
  • Reliability and Troubleshooting: Support the reliability section in identifying and resolving repetitive failures across the fleet.
  • Engine Health Monitoring: Control and oversee engine health monitoring (EHM) activities.
  • Liaison with OEMs: Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve reliability and technical issues.
  • Document Generation: Create operator documents, including minimum equipment lists (MEL) technical notices, procedure notices, engineering orders, and reports.
  • Aircraft Lease Returns: Provide technical support for aircraft lease returns.
  • Shop Visit Management: Manage engine and APU shop visit schedules, costs, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) relationships.
  • Large LRU Assemblies: Manage and technically control large line replaceable unit (LRU) assemblies, including landing gear, APUs, nacelles, thrust reversers, and other components.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with an aircraft maintenance engineer certification.
  • Experience: At least [insert number] years of experience in airline, CAMO, part engine, or aircraft maintenance, or OEM/MRO facilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of engine and/or aircraft maintenance or repair and overhaul.
