Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Powerplant Engineer to join our team at Sin Nombre. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of our aircraft engines and powerplant systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed technical reviews of service bulletins and airworthiness directives related to engines and powerplant systems.
  • Manage the implementation of modifications to engines, auxiliary power units, and accessory parts.
  • Offer technical support to our maintenance operations center and heavy maintenance representatives.
  • Collaborate with our reliability section to identify and resolve repetitive failures across our fleet.
  • Oversee engine health monitoring and control.
  • Liaise with original equipment manufacturers to resolve reliability and technical issues.
  • Generate operator documents, including minimum equipment lists, technical notices, and engineering orders.
  • Provide technical support for aircraft lease returns.
  • Work with our maintenance team to scope and review engine and auxiliary power unit shop visits.
  • Manage engine shop visit schedules, costs, and relationships with maintenance, repair, and overhaul providers.
  • Oversee the technical control of large line replaceable unit assemblies, including landing gear, auxiliary power units, nacelles, and thrust reversers.

Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with aircraft maintenance certification

  • Familiarity with EASA regulations
  • Excellent communication and project delivery skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver results under tight timelines
  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft software programs
