About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deep Learning Scientist to join our AI for protein design group at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for training generalist agents for controllable protein design, leveraging interpretability and continual learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curate datasets from various modalities to support protein design
  • Implement innovative training architectures for generalist agents
  • Train and benchmark protein generation quality
Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Good knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace)
  • Strong software engineering skills and good code practices
  • Ability to think independently and work in a fast-paced science environment
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with protein engineering and design
  • Good communication skills in English
