Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Project Manager, you will be responsible for implementing legal processes, compliance programs, and regulatory requirements across LATAM. You will identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring compliance with evolving laws and internal policies.

You will conduct legal risk assessments for new business initiatives and provide actionable recommendations. Additionally, you will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting to updating, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

You will also develop and implement corporate policies, privacy policies, and terms and conditions to comply with regional laws and global standards.

Furthermore, you will design and deliver legal risk management training, fostering awareness across the organization. You will advise teams on compliance with legal obligations in contracts and policies.

You will conduct internal legal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management procedures and present regular legal risk reports to the executive team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Law, with a Master's or specialization in Corporate Law or Risk Management being a plus.

You will also require 3+ years of experience in corporate legal advisory, risk management, or compliance, with a focus on financial services or fintech. Experience in both law firms and in-house roles is highly valued.

You will need a strong understanding of cross-border regulatory frameworks (data privacy, AML, financial regulations) across LATAM and familiarity with LATAM's financial systems and payment industry is advantageous.

Additionally, you will need analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate legal risks. You will be an effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams.
