Job Title: Legal Project Manager

LaFinteca is a leading payment service focused on Latin America, seamlessly integrating popular payment methods across the continent. We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Project Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Legal Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple legal projects concurrently, ensuring high attention to detail and analytical skills to assess and mitigate legal risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cross-border regulatory frameworks, data privacy, AML, and financial regulations across LATAM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage legal projects, including contract and policy management, training and risk awareness, and audit and reporting.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments for new business initiatives and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement corporate policies, privacy policies, and terms and conditions to comply with regional laws and global standards.
  • Design and deliver legal risk management training, fostering awareness across the organization.
  • Advise teams on compliance with legal obligations in contracts and policies.
  • Conduct internal legal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management procedures.
  • Present regular legal risk reports to the executive team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's or specialization in Corporate Law or Risk Management is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate legal advisory, risk management, or compliance, with focus on financial services or fintech.
  • Experience in both law firms and in-house roles is highly valued.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams.
