The Global Category Manager – Transportation is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives within Indirect Procurement Transportation globally. This role leads the procurement of Transport in creating and driving key initiatives to help bring a future procurement vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, drive, and execute global category strategies for Transportation categories to achieve optimal sourcing results.
  • Manage costs and drive savings through should-cost models, cost reductions, and value creation.
  • Lead contractual discussions with suppliers and align strategies with Regional Leads.
  • Present annual Transportation strategies and drive state-of-the-art global sourcing initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders and develop supplier relationships.
  • Develop risk management strategies and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing/procurement of Transportation.
  • 25% travel expected to international sites.
  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering, business administration, or related fields.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Proven ability in utilizing e-sourcing/procurement systems and experience in spend analysis, contract development, and execution.
  • Ability to develop best practice sourcing methodology and category strategies.
  • Excellent social and communication skills and ability to work with key stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • English skills at business level (written and spoken) is a must, any additional language is an advantage.
