Steel Trader Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Steel Trader to join our team at Approach People Recruitment. As a Steel Trader, you will be responsible for negotiating, structuring, and executing trades across a range of steel products, including PPGI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and execute trades with steel mills, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and end-users in key regions such as APAC and EMEA.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market reach and customer base.
  • Monitor and analyze global economic indicators, geopolitical events, industry trends, and technological advancements affecting the steel industry.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the Prepainted Steel Field trading.
  • Proven track record of successful trades, market expansion, and relationship management.
  • Strong communication skills, negotiating, and high degree of flexibility.
  • Active, independent, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of global steel trade flows, logistics, and supply chain management.
