Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Graph Database Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Value Chain Optimization team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing graph-based solutions to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop graph databases and related applications using the latest graph technologies.
  • Build and extend smart frontends to leverage graph data and facilitate business usage.
  • Translate business requirements into graph-based solutions, leveraging expertise in graph algorithms and data integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate graph techniques into AI solutions.
  • Work in an agile DevOps environment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Improve AI solutions through user interface enhancements, graph modeling, data quality management, and adoption.
  • Support the industrialization of AI solutions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field, with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding and experience with graph databases, graph algorithms, and data integration at large scale in complex business networks.
  • Practical experience in ontology development, ideally in combination with complex data schemes and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Cypher, and Java, preferably with Angular.
  • Experience in data integration, ETL processes, and linked data applications using tools like Microsoft Databricks, Kettle, and Docker.
  • Business consulting and technical consulting skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to foster a positive and energized culture.
  • Growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Nice to Have
  • Understanding of natural sciences and/or the chemical industry.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software, e.g., SAP and OMP.
  • Experience working in agile environments with a DevOps mindset.
  • German language skills.
