Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our Data & AI Powerhouse within the Product Data Semantics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and advancing our data semantics capabilities. Your work will focus on enhancing our Data Excellence architecture, including improvements on the Ontology Management Framework and Knowledge Graph Solution Stack, as well as integrating them seamlessly with other platforms to support dynamic and insightful data interactions across BASF.

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of the Data Excellence architecture, including the Data Product Builder, Semantic Layer, connection of Ontology Management Framework, Graph Tech Stack, Data Catalog, and Data Marketplace.
  2. Ensure seamless integration of Data Excellence components, collaborating closely with the Product Owner and Solutions Architect.
  3. Automate processes and workflows to streamline operations and synchronize data with connected systems.
  4. Collaborate with the product team to gauge demand, devise new features, and implement solutions that facilitate dynamic data interactions.
  5. Translate functional and non-functional requirements into a cost-effective and efficient system architecture.
  6. Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  7. Design and implement solutions, ensuring high quality through adherence to best practices and comprehensive testing.
  8. Develop and integrate advanced machine learning and AI models for enhanced information extraction, retrieval, and graph analytics.
Qualifications

We are looking for a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Senior experience in software engineering, data science, or AI engineering is required. Strong programming expertise, preferably in Python, is also necessary. Experience with data management and storage technologies, including NoSQL and graph databases, is a plus. Solid background in agile project management and familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code are also required.
