We are a team of experts dedicated to creating a best-in-class software platform that enables seamless interaction with the blockchain space. Our goal is to bring this revolutionary technology to the mainstream through the development of high-quality tools and services.

Your Role

As a Database Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our database platforms. This includes administering our MongoDB, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch environments, hosted in both public and private clouds, to ensure they remain online, secure, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development lifecycle through feasibility, design, and delivery to ensure automated, robust, scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
  • Promote and collaborate in the creation of solutions to drive automation, environment consistency, continuous delivery, and an 'everything as code' mentality.
  • Lead on complex database tasks such as Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), very large table modifications, advanced query tuning, and data migrations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology adoption, and contribute to the development of data platform solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, application development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
  • Cross-train peers in database development and administration, and provide out-of-hours production support as part of a 24/7 rota.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 2 years' experience working as a Database Engineer supporting MongoDB and/or Cassandra in a production environment.
