The Senior Technical Program Manager at The Knot Worldwide will be responsible for driving collaboration for cross-functional project teams. This involves partnering with Technical Program Managers to define and execute detailed project plans, utilizing proven project management methodologies to help development teams achieve their objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely alongside technical program managers, engineering managers, developers, product managers, designers, and other key business partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner with TPMs to drive efficient and effective delivery of key initiatives that impact multiple zones and/or departments.
2. Create and maintain project management artifacts including communication plans, risk logs, decision logs, escalation procedures, project schedules, scope statements, high-level and detailed business requirements, and technical specification documents.
3. Assist in assigned areas of the project management life cycle: plan, schedule, and ensure execution of project tasks, milestones, and deliverables. Facilitate project team meetings and regularly communicate progress to program managers and stakeholders.
Requirements
The successful candidate has project management or related skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and strong time management skills. The ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests, and be comfortable working with limited instruction and guidance is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have high emotional intelligence, be naturally collaborative and partner-oriented, and have an appetite to hustle every day with zero ego.
