Senior Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Gartner. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and controlling all in-country finance and accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Provide regional leadership to develop and manage compliance and controls within corporate and country requirements.
- Financial Operations: Manage the country's implementation of all Finance & Accounting Global and local processes and requirements.
- Financial Advice: Provide financial and accounting advice, guidance, and support to Corporate Services partners and BU Leaders.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee accounting and reporting for both Statutory and US GAAP requirements for the Spain entities.
- Internal Control: Enforce and control the application of global policies & procedures and ensure full compliance with country legal requirements.
- Tax Compliance: Lead preparation and execution of VAT and indirect tax returns – support Tax team to the execution of corporate Returns and any Tax Audits.
- Order-to-Cash: Provide support of centralized process for invoicing & collection – Provide guidance on country requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Source-to-Pay: Provide support of centralized process for Procurement and Account Payable.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation by actively executing management initiatives and Controller's team projects while developing and documenting all processes.
- Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, Masters or CPA preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role as part of a global multi-national company with experience leading small teams.
- Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of Spanish GAAP Accounting Standards, good understanding of US GAAP, and knowledge of Spain VAT and Indirect Tax Rules.
- Language: Fluent Spanish and excellent English skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Leadership: Ability to work autonomously, decision-making experience around complex issues.
