Principal Technical Marketing Engineer, Observability Solutions Specialist

Elastic is a leading provider of enterprise search, observability, and security solutions. We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Marketing Engineer to join our Product Marketing cluster and focus on the technical go-to-market strategy for Elastic Observability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Demo Environments: Design and set up demo environments to showcase Elastic Observability's technical capabilities, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective in demonstrating compelling use cases.
- Create Impactful Use Cases and Workflows: Develop and refine use cases and workflows that empower the field team to deliver differentiated demos and successful proof-of-concepts (POCs), highlighting the value of Elastic Observability.
- Streamline Automation and Processes: Automate and streamline demo maintenance processes to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and scalable, minimizing manual effort and reducing errors.
- Provide Training and Enablement: Develop and deliver timely training and update content to enable the field team with the latest product capabilities, ensuring they are equipped to effectively demonstrate Elastic Observability's features and benefits.
- Author Technical Content: Write technical blogs and articles that highlight Elastic's technology and platform, driving thought leadership and engagement among technical audiences.
- Deliver Technical Enablement Sessions: Create and deliver technical enablement sessions, including demo recordings and webinars, to educate and inspire the field team and other stakeholders about Elastic Observability's capabilities.
- Influence Product Roadmap: Provide market and customer insights that shape the product roadmap, ensuring Elastic Observability meets the evolving needs of our customers and the market.
- Measure and Track Demo Usage: Monitor and analyze demo usage and adoption to continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of our technical marketing efforts.
- Represent Elastic at Industry Events: Showcase Elastic Observability's products and engage with the community at industry events, representing the company and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Extensive Experience in Observability and Cloud Domains: Proven expertise in observability, developer tools, or cloud-related domains, with a strong ability to engage technical audiences such as SREs, DevOps engineers, developers, and IT operations teams.
- Content Creation and Technical Expertise: Proven ability to create compelling content across various formats, including blog posts, presentations, and videos, that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences, and broad software development expertise, particularly in Python, Go, and shell scripting.
- Cloud and Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, enabling you to design and deliver robust demos and POCs, and strong familiarity with deploying and operating workloads in cloud environments, specifically within AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-experts through blogs, videos, customer discussions, and webinars, and comfortable thriving in a cross-functional role, collaborating effectively with a highly distributed and diverse team.
- Practitioner-Level Knowledge in Observability: Practitioner-level knowledge and experience in the observability or monitoring domain.
- Technical Marketing Experience: Previous experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer, particularly with cloud technologies.
- Real-World Experience with Elastic Solutions: Hands-on experience implementing one or more of Elastic's solutions in real-world customer environments.
