Lead Regulatory Reporting and Analytics in EMEA

We're seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting & Analytics Lead to join our Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) team in EMEA. As a key member of our Strategic Planning & Development (SP&D) team, you'll be responsible for creating tools, insights, and providing regulatory reports and analytics to support ad hoc and regular requests across the GMNS organization.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Operational Excellence, GCO, Compliance teams, and Finance to deliver a best-in-class Management Information System (MIS). You'll partner with existing SP&D team members to leverage reporting systems, knowledge, best practices, and work with our SABE (Center of Excellence) based in India when required.

About Amex's Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS)

GMNS signs merchants to accept American Express cards and maintains the card acceptance network. We're responsible for building and maintaining relationships with merchants, merchant acquirers, processors, and the network. GMNS processes card transactions and settles with merchants that accept American Express cards. Additionally, we provide marketing information and services such as fraud prevention to merchants. Furthermore, GMNS builds and manages loyalty coalition programs which enable consumers to earn and spend rewards points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and roll out of regulatory reporting, insights, and analytics to stakeholders
  • Establish and implement new MIS reporting solutions in Tableau/models to meet business demands
  • Act as an SME for regional/global regulatory analytics, insights, and projects
  • Leverage existing reports, systems to build tailored reporting, insights to support internal and external data requests
  • Collaborate with broader team to understand acquisition, coverage, and client management data
  • Partner with operational excellence, compliance, and GCO teams to align on regulatory needs
Requirements
  • Technical skills: SAS / SQL programming (Intermediate - Expert level); Tableau (Intermediate), Cornerstone, Hive, Visualization and Coding experience (Advanced)
  • Highly proficient user of Excel and Power-point
  • Prior experience developing, executing, and managing reporting processes and insights
  • Highly analytical with strong understanding of financial evaluation and ability to scenario model
  • Ability to identify and implement technical solutions to achieve process automation and reports
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, with experience to develop robust presentations
  • Customer focused, enthusiastic, and creative with the ability to think conceptually and strategically
  • Proven ability to influence others without direct authority within a matrix organization

Estimated Salary:

£80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
