Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding Against Financial Crime: Conduct thorough reviews of clients' transactions to identify and mitigate potential risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions, tax evasion, and reputational risk.
- Comprehensive Client Onboarding: Perform anti-financial crime checks as part of the Ebury Onboarding process for corporate clients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Client Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth CDD and EDD checks for corporate clients, including the KYC process, identification and analysis of complex ownership structures, financial statements, and transaction patterns.
- Global Compliance: Analyze and manage CDD/EDD requirements across various jurisdictions, with a focus on local clients and diverse business sectors.
- Client Communication: Engage directly with clients to present Ebury's onboarding requirements in a clear and compliant manner.
- Red Flag Identification: Identify potential red flags and escalate to Compliance and Senior Management as necessary.
- Risk-Based Decision Making: Make informed decisions to onboard or reject applications based on risk assessments.
- Portfolio Management: Efficiently manage a personal portfolio of onboarding cases, ensuring timely completion of analysis.
- Client Follow-up: Proactively follow up with clients and sales representatives to ensure timely completion of onboarding analysis.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and structured client files compliant with internal requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement within the onboarding process and contribute to its enhancement.
- Support and Training: Assist in preparing and managing data for internal and external audits, as well as supporting ad-hoc projects within the department and wider business.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, with any additional language skills being a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience conducting CDD and EDD with corporate clients.
- Knowledge: Advanced understanding of red flags and financial crime typologies relevant to the payments and FX space.
- Skills: Proactive, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills; strong communication and teamwork abilities.
